(1820) except that the original preface is printed on 4 pages rather than 5, followed by "Preface to the second edition" (gathering a, paged [v]-xi [xii, blank]). The table of contents includes the appendix and remarks on the plates, omitted in the contents of the 1st ed., not all copies of which include this material. Printer's statement on verso of half title, repeated on p. [534]. "Short account of the women of Egypt, Nubia, and Syria: by Mrs. Belzoni": p. [441]-483. Called "Mrs. Belzoni's trifling account of the women of Egypt, Nubia, and Syria" in 1st ed.
