The 1st part has a starting title, the 4 others have their own title page. Panvinio's work is composed of three books; in the first book, we find in particular the "Itineraria duo" of Rutilius Namatianus on p. 274-297; between the 1st and 2nd books, 2 texts are included: "Origo Gentis Romanae", an anonymous pamphlet sometimes attributed to Sextus Aurelius Victor, published for the first time in 1579 by the Jesuit Andreas Schott, and "De aquaeductibus" by Frontin. After the Third Book, there are various extracts from texts borrowed in particular from Frontin and Porcius Cato. Among these varia are scythes forged by Giovanni Nanni, published in 1498 In the colophon of the last title of vol. : "Typis mandabat Ioannes Charron Typographus, Anno domini 1588.x.kalend.Ian" |
