"Between 7 and 9 November 2014 a Symposium was held at Magdalene College, Cambridge to honour Professor Anthony Snodgrass. The programme included papers both by his various colleagues and by his former students, under the title of 'Celebrating eighty years of Anthony Snodgrass' (since he had celebrated his eightieth birthday somewhat earlier, on 7 July) (University of Cambridge Division of Archaeology 2014). This volume comprises revised versions of the contributions made by his students : a companion volume (Bintliff and Rutter 2016) containing the work of his colleagues (rather than his students) is now published by Edinburgh University Press"--Page xi. |
