He is also affiliated with the ERC-funded project Law, Governance and Space: Questioning the Foundations of the Republican Tradition and directs a research project about Late Antique Rome funded by the Kone Foundation at the University of Helsinki. Previously, he has been fellow of the Royal Academy of Spain and obtained a Ph.D. from the University of Florence.
